Office 365 Manager Release Notes – 2.1.0.0

We are delighted to announce the release of Office 365 Manager‘s latest version, V 2.1.0.0. This release brings significant improvements and new features to Office 365 Manager, enhancing its capabilities for Office 365 User management, Bulk license management, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft 365 Groups, and various other aspects of the Microsoft 365 environment.

Below, we have highlighted key new features, and enhancements to existing functionalities, and addressed issues that have been resolved in this release.

Microsoft 365 Users

  • Create Bulk Users from a CSV file – Enhanced new features: setting a custom password, assigning a license, setting a manager, employee ID, and usage location. Read more »
  • Update Bulk User Attributes from a CSV file – Enhanced new features: setting a custom password, updating license, setting manager, employee ID, and setting NULL values. Read more »
  • Bulk assigning Office 365 user licenses from a CSV file is now supported. You can assign or remove licenses for bulk users using a CSV file. Read more »
  • Azure AD User Last Login (Date) report supported – Works with only Azure AD Premium license.
  • User and Group license – New reports are supported, including direct and group assignment-based license reports.
  • Reporting on users who have a direct license assignment with a product license is now supported.
  • The Azure AD User Last Login Reports issue without an AAD Premium license has been fixed, and proper error messages are displayed.

Microsoft Teams

  • Bulk creation of Teams, including both Standard and Class Teams, is now supported from a CSV file. Read more »
  • Bulk creation of Team Channels, including Standard, Private, and Shared channels, is now supported from a CSV file. Read more »
  • Add bulk users to Private channels and to their respective Teams is now supported. Read more »
  • Support for shared channel reports and management.
  • Reports on Teams Tabs & Apps are now supported.

Microsoft 365 Groups

  • Bulk creation of Microsoft 365 Groups from a CSV file is now supported.

Exchange Online

  • The app now includes support for the Exchange Online PowerShell V3 module, offering a convenient way to configure your Exchange environment without the necessity of providing service account credentials to the application.
  • The report “Shared Mailboxes without M365 License” is now supported. 

SharePoint Online

  • Permission matrix report (All sites and site content permissions) is now supported.
  • Bulk update of site collection settings in multiple sites is now supported.
  • Bulk update of external sharing settings in bulk sites is now supported.
  • Bulk update of sharing permissions in bulk sites is now supported.
  • Bulk update of sharing access requests in bulk sites is now supported.
  • Bulk update of site collection administrators in bulk sites is now supported.
  • Bulk update of site memberships (Owners, Members, and Visitors) in bulk sites is now supported.

Microsoft 365 License

  • User-friendly license names have been updated in product resources.
  • Fixed an issue where Office 365 Admin Sign was not updating user-friendly license names in product resources.

Issue Fixes and Enhancements

  • Fixed an issue with CSV actions (e.g., Create Bulk Users) where empty CSV rows caused problems.
  • Enhanced the Import Team/Group Members from a CSV file feature.
  • Fixed an issue where site admin privileges could be assigned without being a Site Admin and with only Global/SharePoint admin privilege.
  • When creating Microsoft 365 Groups, the default setting for Privacy is now set to “private”.
