Bulk Add or Remove Members in Microsoft Teams

Managing Microsoft Teams membership can be achieved through diverse approaches, as Teams membership is controlled by the linked Microsoft 365 Group for the specific Team. Teams administrators and owners can add or remove members using the Teams admin center and Teams client. However, when it comes to adding multiple members to multiple teams, administrators may find it to be a time-consuming process.

Specmasoft’s Office 365 Management tool offers a convenient solution by providing a user-friendly interface to easily add or remove multiple members and owners across multiple teams.

Add Members to Multiple Teams in Bulk

Follow the steps below to add multiple users as members to the selected Microsoft Teams.

  • Open the UI console of the Office 365 Manager app.
  • Navigate to the Teams page.
  • Within the Teams tab, in the report picker, choose the report that aligns with your requirements, such as Recently created teams or any other teams report containing the teams you intend to update members.
  • Select the teams you wish to add members from the report grid. If you plan to select teams from a CSV file, you can skip this step.
  • In the Update Members section, click the Add Members button and select the Add Members action.
  • If you haven’t selected any teams from the report grid, the app will prompt you to choose teams through one of two options: Search and Select Teams or Import Teams From CSV.
  • In the action UI, select the users you want to add as members for the selected teams.
  • Finally, click the Update button to start the membership update process.
