In Microsoft Teams, team owners can manage the team settings and permissions from the Teams client. On the other hand, Teams administrators can control the team’s configuration from the Teams admin center. However, administrators may need to spend a lot of time managing settings for multiple teams in bulk.
Specmasoft’s Office 365 Manager is a desktop-based Microsoft Teams management tool that helps you manage the settings and permissions for individual teams and update settings for multiple teams in bulk. You can easily select the teams you wish to update from a report grid or by importing them from a CSV file.
Manage Permissions and Settings for Multiple Teams in Bulk
Follow the below steps to modify the settings and permissions for multiple teams in bulk using Office 365 Manager.
- Launch the UI console of the Office 365 Manager app.
- Go to the Teams page within the UI.
- Under the Teams tab, use the report picker to select the appropriate report that aligns with your requirements. For instance, Recently created teams or any other report listing the teams you intend to manage settings.
- Select the required teams from the report grid. If you plan to select teams from a CSV file, you can skip this step.
- In the Update Teams section, click the Settings button to open the Update Team Settings action UI.
- If you haven’t selected any teams from the report grid, the application will prompt you to pick teams using one of two options: Search and Select Teams or Import Teams From CSV.
- Within the action user interface, select (tick the box) the specific permissions or setting options you wish to manage. Once you’ve selected a permission option, you can set it to either On or Off based on your update requirements.
- Please note that only the permissions or settings that you have checked will be updated. Therefore, it’s important to tick the checkboxes for only the options that are necessary for your modifications.
- Finally, click the Update Team button to initiate the bulk team modification process. Monitor the progress and status of the operation in the application.
- Once the process is finished, verify that the changes have been successfully updated for the teams you selected.
